Meet Vanitha Vasudevan
Dr. Vanitha Vasudevan is a board-certified general surgeon with over 11 years of experience in general and surgical oncology. She completed medical school and surgical training in Delhi, India, including residencies in both general and pediatric surgery, before continuing her training in the United States.
Dr. Vasudevan completed her general surgery residency at the University of Miami in Florida and went on to join a busy surgical oncology group, where she practiced for more than a decade. She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is fluent in Hindi and Tamil, which helps her communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Specialties and Skills
Dr. Vasudevan is extensively trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic abdominal surgery, with a special interest in surgical oncology. Her expertise includes robotic colorectal surgery for diverticular disease and colon and rectal cancer, as well as minimally invasive procedures for gallbladder disease, inguinal, ventral, and hiatal hernias.
She also performs endocrine surgery, including procedures involving the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. Dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, Dr. Vasudevan combines advanced surgical techniques with compassionate, personalized treatment to ensure optimal outcomes, faster recovery, and an excellent patient experience.
