Meet Dr. VaZquez
Dr. Bianca J. Vazquez is board certified in General Surgery with a special interest in diseases and conditions of the endocrine system. Dr. Vazquez is well-trained in laparascopic and robotic surgical techniques that allow her to perform minimally invasive surgery for less discomfort and faster recovery times. Dr. Vazquez is a native of Puerto Rico, who is fluent in English and Spanish. To get the best of both worlds, Dr. Vazquez received her education in Puerto Rico and then completed her training in some of America's best medical centers. Now a member of the surgical team at Arizona Premier Surgery, Dr. Vazquez is dedicated to providing the best care to her patients so they can lead healthier, longer lives.
Specialties and Skills
Dr. Vazquez specializes in the surgical evaluation and treatment of diseases that affect the pancreas, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. She has a special interest and training in general surgery, endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Through both surgical and nonsurgical means, Dr. Vazquez treats hormone imbalances, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, metabolic disorders, and neuroendocrine pancreas and adrenal cancers. Some of the surgeries she performs at Arizona Premier Surgery are laparoscopic appendectomy, thyroid gland removal, hernia repair, and laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
Education and Training
Dr. Vazquez earned her Bachelor’s Degree in biology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and her Medical Degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. Dr. Vazquez completed her general surgery training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX and advanced training in endocrine surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
